About SoloStack

SoloStack exists because running a one-person (or two-person) consulting or service business means you're also the ops team, the marketer, and the IT department. We do the tool research so you don't have to.

How we pick what to cover

We prioritize tools that solve a real, recurring problem for independent consultants: proposals and contracts, scheduling, client communication, automation between apps, note-taking, and getting found online. We test free tiers and trials ourselves before writing about a tool, and we update articles when pricing or features change materially.

How we make money

SoloStack is reader-supported. Some of the tools we recommend pay us a commission if you sign up through our links — this never changes the price you pay, and it never determines whether a tool gets a positive review. Full detail in our affiliate disclosure.
